Well, hey there!  Welcome to Fit Balanced Wellness. My name is Susan, and I am delighted you’re here. 

I created this space as a place to share with you my real life, always-evolving journey with fitness, mindfulness, meditation, and overall wellness. The way I see it, self-improvement is a never ending adventure and we need to hold on tight for the ride, learn skills and steer ourselves where we want to go.  If we reach a destination, it’s time to look for a new place to go while setting goals for ourselves in the meantime.  

I am a wife and a mom to two super adorable littles.  On top of that, I have a full time job outside the house as an accountant, so this just something fun I am doing on the side to inspire and help you find your own personal recipe of success for the lifestyle change you’ve always dreamed of having.  It doesn’t have to be hard, daunting or restricting. 

Growing up, I wasn’t overly motivated. My weight fluctuated a lot throughout middle and high school and had low self-esteem because of it. Because of weight and my overbite, I was never comfortable in my own skin – however, my lovely husband saw through both of those and saw me for me (I love you, babe). After a series of life events that occurred over several years, 2013 was a very pivotal year for me. I found passion in fitness, discovered the power of meditation and mindfulness, and finally got my diet in check. I am happy to say that I am now confident in my own skin, even after having my two babies. I never knew the power of the mind until I started taking action. I hope to inspire and remind you that you can reach places you never thought possible if you put your mind to it. I have so much to share with you. If I can do it, so can you!

This space was designed with you in mind to feel safe, inspired and free of judgement. Life is busy. With that in mind, my goal is to provide actionable wellness tips that you can start using today to invest in yourself and start making the changes needed to see the personal growth you’ve always wanted. I will also be sharing with you products I use, books I’ve found inspirational, and more. I can’t wait to connect with you.

I am committed to creating a community the rises each other up and pushes us harder than ever before.

I am determined to show and teach busy mama’s that health & wellness is so much more than a number on the scale.

I am determined to help women discover the power of ditching the diet and living freely and eating what they want without the guilt.

Lastly, I am determined to help women discover that gaining confidence, having more energy and losing weight can be done SIMPLY!
